BUTTOCK PAIN / SCIATICA / PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME TESTIMONIALS
(Bear in mind that many women will refer to this area as their "hip")
Cathy Lee came to see me several years ago for a pain in her butt (ahem, her "hip"). This was a pain that she had dealt with for over thirty years --- since the birth of her last (third) daughter. Like many of you, she was at the end of her rope as far as pure suffering was concerned. She had gone through all of the usual tests and treatments --- some, many times over. She was always told that there was nothing wrong with her except "a little arthritis" and that these aches and pains were something that all of us have. Get used to it because it's something you'll just have to learn to live with.
But unbeknownst to Cathy, this was not a simple "ache or pain"! Like so many of the patients that I treat in my neck of the Ozarks, Cathy had never received a definitive diagnosis ----- and had never as much as heard the term "Piriformis Syndrome" used before ---- even though she had been dealing with it for three decades! In fact, when I first met Cathy, she was getting ready to sell her horses. You see, she is a horse lover, who lives to trail ride and take care of her beautiful animals. But to ride, you must sit; and sitting & bouncing around on a hard saddle was a trigger that could flare the symptoms of PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME for days (or weeks) at a time. If my memory serves me correctly, I treated Kathy 3 times over a period of about a year or so. She was dramatically better after her first treatment.
After having a great experience with a long-time thumb problem (SEE HERE), as well as being a regular chiropractic patient, Candra, a grade school teacher, came to me with Piriformis Syndrome.
Ike was referred in by his brother Ronnie. Ike had struggled with chronic buttock pain and sciatica for over three decades. Of course he had been through all the tests; and of course no one could tell him what was wrong. About all he was offered was long-term pain pills. Before he retired, Ike was a carpenter and farmer / rancher ---- a man who loved to work. However, the chronic pain eventually affected him so greatly that he actually retired sooner than he had planned to. He was excited on this day (his third treatment) because he had been able to cut firewood all day without pain in his butt, back, or leg. Previously, an hour or two of chainsawing would have left him paying the price for days. His piriformis was not treated today ---- I worked on his neck. Two Piriformis treatments and he is ---- in his own words ----- 90% better than he has been in years and years.
Although she had never heard the word used before, Deb struggled with Piriformis Syndrome for over four decades before coming to see me. This video was shot approximately 5 weeks after her first treatment --- the only treatment I gave her for Piriformis Syndrome. In her own words, she was ready to blow her brains out.
If you want to see a typical case of Piriformis Syndrome, look no farther than Lisa Nichols. She suffered with a pain that was in her low back / hip / upper buttock for several years. After a couple of fruitless MRI's as well as various meds, she came for the Scar Tissue Remodeling Treatment. Cool story! Thanks Lisa.
I had suffered with chronic hip (upper and outer buttock) pain for approximately twenty five years. During this time I had gone through every conceivable medical test — most of them many times over. Dr. Schierling told me that I had something called Piriformis Syndrome, and because he had helped many members of my family with his specialized soft tissue treatments, I decided to see if he could help me. After just one treatment I was dramatically better. Within three treatments, the pain was totally gone (HERE is her video). GAIL HAWKINS, SUMMERSVILLE BANK
_I had a pain in my butt that ran down to my knees. It got so bad I was taking pain meds every day, and just sitting or standing was painful. Even though I had been to going to Dr. Schierling for adjustments and had him do the Tissue Remodeling for my neck, I did not realize that he could do anything about the sciatic nerve that was causing me so much pain in my rear end. After just one Tissue Treatment I was pain free and did not need a second treatment. I am now going back to see if Dr. Schierling can relieve the pain in my heel from my fallen arches. I am so thankful our family has Dr. Schierling in our lives!
I was on vacation last year at the Cross Country Trail Rides in Eminence, MO. My leg started giving me real problems, and it was suggested by some of the locals that I go see Dr. Schierling. My leg and hip pain had been a daily struggle for me for years. I had been to numerous doctors and had all of the tests. The results were always the same —– negative. I was always told that I just had a little arthritis. The only thing that had ever really helped the chronic pain were frequent chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Schierling gave me a handout (PAIN IN THE BUTT) and told me that he thought my problem could be fixed. He did some of his “Tissue Remodeling” treatment on me and told me to stretch. That was one year ago. I am back for vacation again this year and proud to tell him that one treatment fixed my chronic pain, and I no longer have to live in constant pain. SUSIE WILLIAMS, WEST VIRGINIA
_After 14 years of wildland firefighting, working in and running a commercial greenhouse’s for many years, volunteering, becoming an employee with the Red Cross, and being a very busy mom, wife and person in general, I started having a pain in my butt. We moved to Missouri over a year ago from Alaska where I had a great Chiropractor, Dr. Heather — hard shoes to fill. I asked around and found Dr. Schierling – heard he was the best! My large family in Missouri all go to him and even family outside the state when they come visit. Anyway, he had been doing adjustments and I, as usual, complained to him about my PAIN IN MY BUTT. The pain was so bad I could not sit, stand or lay on my side. Driving would make me cry! We set up an appointment for the Tissue Remodeling Treatment. Trust me the first 3 minutes were not fun, but immediately it stopped hurting. The bruising wasn’t pretty, but boy I would walk, sit, stand and yes, drive! Best thing I ever did. Haven’t had the pain back since and that was 8 months ago – Thanks Dr. Schierling! MARGIE ACHMAN, SOUTHERN, MO
Sonja has struggled with PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME for over half of her life. Listen as she tells her story of living for decades with Piriformis Syndrome, and then finding the answer in tiny Mountain View, Missouri (she is from the Wichita, KS area). Exciting stuff! Thanks Sonja.
Andy struggled with progressively worsening PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME since his late 20's (he is 36 now). Between lots of time behind the wheel and the fact he runs a heavy-equipment salvage / repair business, he had a lot of excess stress on his pelvis and Piriformis Muscle. Watch his amazing story.
I went to Dr. Schierling for an adjustment after my low back “went out”. Since it was my first visit with him, we talked about my various areas of chronic pain that I had been dealing with over the past 20 years. He told me his diagnosis, Pifriformis Syndrome, and started educating me on what it was and the symptoms. He did the Tissue Remodeling Treatment and I saw an 85-90% improvement — immediately! I went back to be treated in other different areas to deal the the various aches and pains that I have had. My numbness and tingling in my arms that I had every time I grabbed the steering wheel is gone, my shoulder pain (that I received a steroid injection to the year before, with no relief of pain) is gone also. Thank you, Dr. Schierling, for showing me that I am not doomed to a life of pain because of my age or my family genetics! You are amazing and I tell everyone about how you have helped me! SHEILA FALWELL, POMONA, MO
Although we have treated Sheila for several different issues over the years, her worst was probably PS. She had heard from co-worker Gail Hawkins (cured of 25 plus years of Piriformis Syndrome) that this problem could be effectively dealt with by what we do in our office. Listen as she tells her story.
